<p>The vibration insulator (1) has first mounting plate (10) and a second mounting plate (12), and at least one wire cable component (13,14) which is connected to both the first and the second mounting plates in such a way that it extends in a straight line between the two mounting plates for the fastening on the engine block of a motor vehicle and also on its exhaust manifold or catalyser firmly connected to the exhaust manifold.
