The load-bearing assembly, for the insertion and removal of items at shelves, works on a telescopic action with telescope sections (2-4) operated by a cable (6) from a drive (5). A locking unit (7) is between the base frame (1) and the first telescope section (2) to give a temporary locking action between them.
