<p>The transceiver is equipped with a transmitter for sending a long wave signal and a receiver for receiving the long wave signal. The transmitter sends in periodic distances an unmodulated signal during a first length of time, and during a following second length of time a signal modulated with an identifier is sent. The signal sent by the transmitter is in a temporal relationship, modulated with an identifier. The identifier is unique. The receiver evaluates the modulated signals of the transmitter and the number of different received identifiers provides the user with the location of persons buried after an avalanche.</p> |
