<p>A power supply 10 may provide outputs on lines 12, 13, 14 in a normal mode, or may operate in a standby mode. If an overload or short-circuit occurs on one of the lines 12, 13, 14, converters 16, 17 detect absence of voltage and a control stage 20 no longer produces a signal S, so that normal operation ceases and the power supply operates in standby mode. If current increase is sensed in the standby mode, the power supply is shut down after a time delay. The supply may be used in a television receiver.</p> |
