A portable handheld electronic device comprises a first housing portion (212) and a second housing portion (1702) , a display (204) coupled to said second housing portion (1702) and a joint coupling the first housing portion (212) and the second housing portion (1702). The joint allows rotation about a first axis and a second axis such that the first housing portion (212) folds together and is planarly adjacent with the second housing portion (1702) to a first closed position wherein the display (204) is enclosed between the first housing portion (212) and the second housing portion (1702) , and such that the first housing portion (212) folds together and is planarly adjacent with the second housing portion (1702) to a second closed position wherein said display (204) is not enclosed between the first housing portion (212) and the second housing portion (1702) and is exposed to the user. The device further comprises a rotateable user interface (210) coupled to the first housing portion (212) and partially accessible when the device is in a open position and in the first closed position and the second closed position. An inaccessible portion of the rotateable user interface (210) is partially enclosed between the first housing portion (212) and the second housing portion (1702) when the device is in the first closed position and the second closed position. |
