A double-headed striking tool is provided with a first and second head of approximately equal mass mounted at opposing ends of a handle such that the first and second head are aligned at a right angle to each other. The handle is shaped to provide an aligned grip with an expanded or flared midsection that tapers to a smaller cross-sectional area at the opposing ends. The first and second head may be formed with a crown or bevelled strike face and a curved or straight claw. A carrie r for a double-headed striking tool comprises a keyhole-shaped receptacle for inserting the strike face of the tool, and suspending the tool by its neck.
