FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out anthropometrical study by measuring shank at the level of ankle joint and recalculating the results in arc degrees. Distance between the external and internal ankle-bone middle points is measured on the frontal shank surface during the third-fourth life months of congenital clubfoot patient on the background of conservative therapy applied. External fibular ankle-bone position is determined from dislocation angle relative to tibial distal epiphysis center using a formula =360°/L x (L1-L2), where L is the shank circumference at the level of ankle joint in cm, L1 is the distance between the external and internal ankle-bone middle points on the frontal shank surface, L2 is the 1/2 of the shank circumference at the level of ankle joint. External fibular ankle-bone dislocation angle relative to tibial distal epiphysis center reaching 40%, conclusions are drawn concerning treatment effectiveness. External fibular ankle-bone dislocation angle relative to tibial distal epiphysis center being greater than 40%, conclusions are drawn concerning surgical treatment necessity. ^ EFFECT: high accuracy of the method. ^ 1 dwg |
