FIELD: agricultural engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame mounted on vehicle wheel axles and consisting of two side members. Grinding drum is provided on front part of frame. Header or pickup type adapter is attached through joining mechanism to feeding unit equipped with upper and lower rolls. Axes of lower row of rolls are aligned at an angle of 10-25 deg to axis of grinding drum. Diameters of rolls are continuously reducing toward grinding drum. Feeding unit is joined to adapter in vertical plane. Joining mechanism is made in the form of traverse disposed forward of feeding unit and having length exceeding width of feeding unit. Traverse is fixed on lever whose other end is disposed in pivotal support secured on feeding unit bottom. Traverse is spring-loaded by means of flexible members. ^ EFFECT: decreased weight of apparatus and reduced specific pressure applied to soil. ^ 3 cl, 3 dwg |
