FIELD: agriculture. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves providing surface cultivation of soil to 5-6 cm depth; forming furrows with compacted bottom in mellowed soil layer by means of rollers; sowing seed therein. Compacted bottom is formed on layer with undisturbed capillarity. Sown seeds are spilled with 1-2 cm layer of mellowed soil taken away from furrow ridges. Seeds are laid within furrow in row in equally spaced relation, and in adjacent furrow row of seeds is laid with offset equal to half said space. Apparatus has rollers with seed guides arranged rearward thereof, and leveler. Rollers are grouped in two sections arranged one behind another. Rollers in each section are spaced from one another by distance equal to width of two spacings. Rear rollers are offset relative to front rollers by value equal to width of spacing. ^ EFFECT: increased yield of cereal crops, reduced costs per unit of resultant product, and simplified construction. ^ 3 cl, 4 dwg |
