PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace with a stirring device capable of surely melting a charged material in a melting furnace. SOLUTION: This stirring device conducting the stirring by applying alternating magnetic field to a melting furnace 25 main body to prepare molten bath 30 by melting the material, has a plurality of magnets 22, the magnets 22 are arranged in such a manner that a magnetic field line from a certain magnet 22 among the magnets 22 is passed through the molten bath 30 in the melting furnace 25 main body, and then returned to the other magnet, and these magnets are mounted along an inclined face inclined at a specific angle to a horizontal face, and rotatable around an axis approximately perpendicular to the inclined face.
