PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicylinder diesel engine capable of enhancing the vibration restraining function of a cylinder block and the lubricating function of a fuel injection cam. SOLUTION: In this multicylinder diesel engine, a jacket outer wall 2 of a cylinder jacket 1 and a cam chamber chamber wall 4 of a fuel injection cam chamber 3 are continued by casting; a cam chamber opening part 6 is arranged on a cam chamber bottom wall 5; the fuel injection cam chamber 3 is communicated with a crankcase 7 via this cam chamber opening part 6; and a fuel injection camshaft 12 having a plurality of fuel injection cams 10 is installed above the cam chamber bottom wall 5. A rib 8 running along the peripheral edge of the cam chamber opening part 6, is erected on the cam chamber bottom wall 5, and the cam chamber bottom wall 5 and the rib 8 are continued by casting. Oil 9 of the fuel injection cam chamber 3 is dammed up by this rib 8. An oil reservoir 11 is formed on the cam chamber bottom wall 5, and the whole cam tops 10a of the plurality of fuel injection cams 10 are soaked in the oil 9 gathered in the oil reservoir 11 by rotation of the fuel injection camshaft 12.
