PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral flow prevention structure of a ground capable of reducing construction period and construction cost by reducing the improved area of the ground while securing an improved effect on the side flow of the ground to such a degree that is approximately equal to or more than that in a conventional construction method in which construction is uniformly performed in the entire area to be improved. SOLUTION: In this lateral flow prevention structure for preventing the ground installed forward of an improved ground body just below a structure from being laterally moved by improving the ground, non-improved areas 6 of oval shape are scattered in the improved area 5 in plan view, and an arch 7 is formed in the improved area 5 in the flow direction x by the shape of the non-improved areas 6. Also, the improved depth of the improved area 5 may be reduced in the flow direction x. By such a ground improved body 4, the entire improved body 4 resists a horizontal load F.
