PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a size or a resolution of an image data received by an electronic mail are one-sidedly decided at a transmission side. SOLUTION: An abbreviated number of a destination and a paper size or the resolution that can be used at the destination are stored in advance with one-to-one correspondence at the transmission side. At the time of transmission, the image data is produced according to the size or the resolution for the destination and then it is converted into an electronic mail format to transmit the electronic mail.
