PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of easily operating an operation button by an arm, an elbow or the like even in such a state that both hands are full of articles. SOLUTION: In this water heater comprising a water shutoff valve 22 conducting the water passing and stopping operations, a heat source part 27 for heating the water supplied through the water shutoff valve 22, and a control means 33 for controlling the heat source part 27 and supplying the water heated at a specific temperature, the water shutoff valve 22, the heat source part 27 and the control means 33 of the water heater are stored in a main body case 29 while being covered by a front cover 28, and the operation button 18 is mounted while being projected to an outer side of the main body case 28 for conducting the water passing operation and the water stopping operation of the water shutoff valve 22.
