PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monofilament made of polyester-based resin, excellent in transparency, flexibility, strength and the like, hardly attached with algae or seaweed and preferable for fishery materials such as fishing lines and fishing nets. SOLUTION: The monofilament made of a polyester-based resin and for fishery materials is provided, wherein the polyester-based resin is an aliphatic polyester-based resin composed mainly of units derived from 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid as the unit derived from dicarboxylic acid components (a), and units derived from 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol (b1) and/or units derived from polyalkylene glycol as the unit derived from diol component (b).
