PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composition having excellent properties for inhibiting precipitation of an additive and properties for inhibiting precipitation of oligomers, and keeping a prescribed intrinsic viscosity. SOLUTION: The polyester composition consisting essentially of a polyester has≥3×10<SP>-3</SP>and≤3×10<SP>-1</SP>peak ratio A which is obtained by dividing the maximum peak area of H derived from an aliphatic methylene group by the peak area of H derived from a benzene ring when the polyester composition obtained by dissolving the polyester composition and reprecipitating the composition by diluting the solution with toluene is observed by<SP>1</SP>H-NMR.
