PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for enabling the testing of sleep disorder to be carried out in high repeatability; and to provide an animal model of the sleep disorder, such as the animal model of sleep apnea syndrome by using the testing system. SOLUTION: This testing system disturbs the sleep of an animal to be tested, placed in a rearing box by regulating an oxygen concentration and/or a carbon dioxide concentration in the rearing box. The testing system can reproduce the condition of the sleep apnea syndrome well, and can make the animal model of the sleep disorder in conditions extremely near to the physiological condition of the sleep apnea syndrome. The testing of the sleep disorder is achieved in high repeatability, and the animal model of the sleep disorder is made by controlling the flow rate of each gas fed to the rearing box in good accuracy.
