PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod firmly supportable as a whole and enabling easy gripping to prevent the hurt of the hand. SOLUTION: The fishing rod is provided with a pipe frame 4 placed in front of a rear grip 2 and around a rod 1, a reel seat 6 attached to the outer circumference of the pipe frame 4, and a cylindrical front grip 7 screwed to the front end of the reel seat 6. The front end of the pipe frame 4 is protruded from the front end of the reel seat 6 and a support grip 11 is placed at the front end 4b of the protruded part 4a. For example, in the case of hitting a big fish, the support grip 11 can be gripped with the left hand to firmly support the fishing rod as a whole, give good operation easiness and prevent the hurt of the left hand.
