<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system and a program that enable a device (printer) driver compatible with various devices (printers) to be easily selected from a number of prepared device (printer) drivers for installation when image data are supplied to a device such as a printer for processing. <P>SOLUTION: The computer system includes writing devices 21a, 21b-21n for writing to a removable recording medium 5 printer information provided in printers 2a, 2b-2n; a reading device 31 provided in an image forming device 3 for reading the printer information from the removable recording medium 5; a search part 34 for selecting the corresponding printer driver by searching based on the printer information coming from the reading device 31, a retaining means retaining a number of prepared printer drivers; and an installation control part 33 for installing the printer driver obtained by the search part 34 into the image forming device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
