<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation system which can correct all factors of color misalignment to obtain a highly reliable color image. <P>SOLUTION: The image formation system has four sets of photoconductors 1 and polygon mirrors 2, wherein each set is prepared for each color. Images of the colors formed on the photo conductors 1 are transferred onto a transfer belt 7 in an overlapping manner which is disposed over the four photoconductors 1. When color misalignment is detected by a mark sensor 11, a control unit 12 causes image writing timing and polygon motor phase of the colors to be changed in accordance with the misaligned amounts of the colors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
