<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when the internal temperature of an apparatus exceeds the melting point of toner, toner in a cartridge melts, which results in degradation in the image quality of an image to be formed. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus for rendering images visible by using toner, the internal temperature of the main body of the apparatus is measured by a temperature sensor 70. When a controller 80 detects the measurement of the internal temperature continuously exceeding a threshold temperature T for a threshold time or longer, the history is stored in a non-volatile memory 81.
