<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that in a conventional illumination device there is no continuity in light flux or in illuminance at the time of switching a main illumination light source and an auxiliary illumination light source (night light), and that it is unavoidable to inflict an unpleasant feeling to a user at switching. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device is equipped with a first illumination unit having a main illumination light source 2, and a second illumination unit having an auxiliary light source 4, and switches the illumination light source between both the light sources. Respective light sources of the first and the second illumination units are continuously controlled by a dimmer control signal, and when a dimmer control signal reaches a switching light control signal of a prescribed light modulation rate, the illumination light source is switched between the main illumination light source 2 and the auxiliary illumination light source 4 so that almost continuous light flux is outputted or almost continuous illuminance can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
