<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and an image processor realizing good image correction with a small amount of processing information by performing individual correction of a specific area extracted from a photographed image and reflecting it on correction of the entire image. <P>SOLUTION: An image is acquired and a partial area thereof is extracted. First feature amount is calculated by analyzing the image and second feature amount is calculated by analyzing the partial area. A correction target value of the image is set from the relation of the first feature amount and the second feature amount, a gray scale correction table having different characteristics before and after the correction target value is made, and then the image is corrected using that gray scale correction table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
