FINGERPRINT IMAGE COMPOSITION APPARATUS, METHOD, AND FINGERPRINT IMAGE COMPOSITION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize collation of high precision which uses both a rotation impression and a flat impression. SOLUTION: A fingerprint composition apparatus 10 is essentially provided with an image distortion correcting means 15 for correcting at least a distortion of the image data so that image data of the fingerprint rotation impression and the fingerprint flat impression approximate to each other and an image composing means 17 for cutting the image data of the fingerprint rotation impression and the fingerprint flat impression corrected by the image distortion correcting means 15 and generating a single composed fingerprint image. By correcting the distortion of the image data of the fingerprint rotation impression and the fingerprint flat impression and approximating the image data to each other, ridges of the composed fingerprint image which has been obtained by cutting and pasting the image data are connected smoothly.
