PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device which can shorten time required for ID reconfiguration, which is suitable for an obstacle detector of vehicles. SOLUTION: In the communication device, power switches SW1, SW2 which respectively perform power on or off connections of power lines which are independently prepared for each group of a front bumper and a rear bumper. When ID reconfiguration is performed, the power switch of the power line of a group to which any of sensors 11 to 14 to be reconfigured, belongs, is powered off, and cuts off supply of power, then, the power switch which is powered off, is turned on again, supplies power to the power line, and the ID reconfiguration is again performed.
