PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror-mounting structure capable of regulating the attitude of a mirror, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the mirror-mounting structure. SOLUTION: The mirror mounting structure of reflecting an optical beam comprises a positioning part of the mirror, a pressure piece which presses the mirror, in a direction approximately vertical to a reflection surface of the mirror and a regulation member which regulates the movement in a direction approximately parallel to the reflection surface of the mirror, and has a wall shape in the parallel direction to the reflecting surface of the mirror near the mirror-positioning part. The relation between X<SB>1</SB>and X<SB>2</SB>becomes X<SB>1</SB>>X<SB>2</SB>, wherein X<SB>1</SB>is the closest distance between the mirror and the wall shape in the parallel direction to the reflecting surface of the mirror and X<SB>2</SB>is the closest distance between the mirror and the regulation member in the parallel direction to the reflection surface of the mirror.
