PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that an electrostatic discharge protection element stops functioning due to resistance changes by the light of amorphous silicon. SOLUTION: The electrostatic discharge protection element 23 which connects each of connection terminals 21 is formed at a connection section of an array substrate 111 and a flexible printed circuit (FPC) 16. The electrostatic discharge protecting element 23 is a wire line formed with the amorphous silicon, and the resistance value is changed according to the light. The electrostatic discharge protection element 23 is covered with a flexible substrate of the FPC and an irradiation level of the light to the amorphous silicon can be reduced. Moreover, by setting the resistance value of the electrostatic discharge protection element 23 to an appropriate value, the element 23 functions effectively as the electrostatic discharge protective element, even if the resistance value is reduced by the light from backlight and the like.
