PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle lock device of a circuit breaker with a simple and sturdy structure by which attachment, detachment, and locking operation on the handle of the circuit breaker can be made simply and which is superior in operability and reliability. SOLUTION: The handle lock 5 for locking the rocker type handle 3 for opening and closing operation of which the knob portion 3a protrudes outward through the case cover opening 2a of the circuit breaker is constructed of an assembly of a lock member 6, which has a cap portion for engaging with the knob portion of the handle at OFF operation position formed in one body at the end part, and a stopper member 7, which is axially supported capable of slanting between lock and open positions overlapped with the locking member at the side face thereof and has a pawl portion 7a formed to engage with the recessed part formed at the base part of the handle knob in the state turned down in lock position. Moreover, locking holes 6b, 7b are opened at the overlapping face of the lock member and the stopper member, and by locking a padlock, the handle is locked at OFF operation position.
