PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with which the temperature of a surface of a liquid crystal display element is accurately detected. SOLUTION: In the display device 1 equipped with the liquid crystal display element 2a, a metal cell holder 7 which is a cover to cover a circumference of the liquid crystal display element 2a, and an upper case 4a which is an end sheet composed of a synthetic resin, having an opening 4a1 to expose the liquid crystal display element 2a, a sensor 21 to measure the temperature is arranged on the cell holder 7, and a part of the cell holder 7 is made to expose to the opening 4a1 of the upper case 4a.
