A connector unit for the power supply units (7), comprises a plug (2) for a wall socket and at least two line sockets (1). Each line socket is connected to the plug by a flexible lead (3). The connection may be made via a node where leads branch out. All leads combine at a node. A flexible lead connects the plug unit to a central unit which can include sockets. From there it branches to one or more coupling leads. In a series arrangement, the lead from the plug, runs from line connector to line connector, and thence to the last connector. Alternatively, switches (6) with pilot lamp, fuses and electrical interference filters are included. These are used both in the central unit and also for components of the arrangement, providing overall and local fusing and control, where required.
