摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rigid internal gear of a wave gear device, the internal gear being formed of a composite structure consisting of an internal tooth forming portion and a gear main body portion made of materials different from each other, the method positively forming unitary body of these portions. SOLUTION: According to the method, a gear main body ring 11 for forming the gear main body portion is pre-formed by using a first aluminum alloy powder (steps ST1, ST3), and an inner teeth forming ring 12A is pre-formed by using a second aluminum alloy powder having a lower machinability and a lower tenacity than those of the first aluminum alloy powder, and a higher abrasion resistance and a higher hardness than those of the first aluminum alloy powder (steps ST2, ST4). Then while the inner tooth forming ring 12A is fitted in the gear body ring 11A, they are formed into a unitary body by powder-forging (step ST5), and a resultant ring forging is subjected to post-machining inclusive of gear cutting (step ST6), to thereby manufacture the rigid inner gear of the wave gear device.
