PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dielectric breakdown in a display device with built-in driving circuit.

SOLUTION: Protection circuits are disposed not only at an input terminal part but also in a circuit part or at a wiring terminal part, or the protection circuits are provided at a part directly behind the input terminal part and the wiring terminal part and the circuits are interposed therebetween. Protection circuits are further provided at surroundings of a circuit having large current consumption.
