PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of performing the re-construction of a viaduct in a shorter period than before. SOLUTION: This method of re-constructing the existing viaduct comprising pier portions 3 and a beam bridge portion 5 supported by the pier portions and forming a passing route for vehicles comprises a step for constructing the pier portions of the road viaduct 100 for turning which are disposed parallel with the viaduct and avoiding the closing of road for vehicles produced by the re-construction, a step for constructing a steel beam 104 extending from the pier portions 103 of the road viaduct for turning toward the pier portions 3 of the existing viaduct, a step for constructing the road viaduct for turning by mounting the beam bridge portion of the road viaduct for turning on the steel beam in a slidable state, a step for dismantling the existing viaduct while leaving its pier portions 3, a step for connecting the left pier portions to the steel beam, and a step for sliding the beam bridge portion of the road viaduct for turning toward the left pier portions of the existing viaduct along the connected steel beam.
