The method for the manufacture of a component (10) for a motor vehicle in one manufacturing process, whereby a quality control is automatically carried out near to the manufacturing process and the component is rejected upon identifying a quality deficiency. The component is again automatically introduced into the manufacturing process and subjected anew to the manufacturing process and a new automated quality control check carried out. The manufacturing process may be a joining process carried out by welding.
