A call forwarding system, for enabling a user to utilize the voice capabilities of IM software to call another person using a phone (land line or mobile). The user calls another modem connected to his PC and selects the destination by means of sending DTMF and a pre-selected key to approve the process or sending an SMS message that contains all the relevant information (Source, destination and optionally a password). The software monitors the call and seeks for the correct destination by comparing the DTMF to the content of the database. The software then connects the person to the right destination in the IM user list. The user can also receive calls from other users that he/she has in his/her IM user list when they invite him to a voice chat. When the user gets an invitation to a voice chat, the software calls him to a pre-defined phone number (land line or cellular) and tries to reach him/her. If the software reaches the user, it approves the voice chat by means of IM software objects capable of controlling the IM chat process.
