<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroformylation process that attains high noble metal recovery rate. <P>SOLUTION: In the presence of the group VIII metal-organophosphorus complex catalyst, an olefin is allowed to react with hydrogen and carbon monoxide to form an aldehyde (the hydroformylation process). At this time, a part of the hydroformylation reaction liquid is drawn out and mixed with a poor solvent, hydrogen and an aromatic hydrocarbon whereby the group VIII metal-organophosphorus complex catalyst is crystallized, then the crystals are separated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
