PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a sheet for electrophoretic display with which microcapsules for electrophoresis display can be carried out effectively in an exact pattern shape on only a part of a surface of a base material sheet, to provide the sheet for electrophoretic display obtained by the method and to provide its use. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the sheet for electrophoretic display includes (a) a step of continuously running the belt-like base material sheet formed by forming a conductive layer on a base material film and applying a coating liquid containing the microcapsules for electrophoresis display, using a kiss and reverse coat type coating apparatus, having a coating roll having a gravure pattern intermittently formed in the axial direction on the outer circumferential surface and (b) a step of drying the coating liquid and forming a layer containing the microcapsules on the conductive layer to obtain the sheet for electrophoretic display, wherein microcapsule carrying parts and conductive layer exposed parts are disposed alternately in the width direction.
