PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal projector which is cooled efficiently by a liquid-cooling cycle and realizes removal of air bubbles in a liquid cooling medium so as to prevent disturbances in a video, and to provide a liquid-cooling device for a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal projector, a light beam from a light source 112 is divided into three parallel beams, the divided light beams are transmitted through R, G and B liquid crystal panels 101(R), 101(G) and 101(B) so as to modulate intensity, and the modulated light beams are color-composed by a composing prism 119, and projected by a projection lens 127, whereby the video is obtained, and then channels 6 and 7 for the liquid cooling medium are formed on the respective liquid crystal panels, in contact with their liquid crystal panel areas. Furthermore, each liquid crystal panel is equipped with a tank 200, where discharging ports 205 and 207 are formed substantially the center part in the height direction of the outer wall of the side surface of the tank, so that the liquid cooling medium from which the air bubbles are captured and removed is supplied, even if the device is arranged upside down, or a curved part 141 for capturing the air bubbles is formed at a part of the channel for the liquid cooling medium on the liquid crystal panel 101.
