PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling prevention method of a material in a chimney, a curing method, and a curing device capable of protecting safety of workers from falling materials in the chimney, rapidly executing works with ease, and being transferable in compliance with the movement of a gondola. SOLUTION: The curing device 21 is provided with an expansible or contractible balloon 23 directly or separately from a specified distance at the upper end of the gondola 11 suspended into the chimney 1. The balloon 23 is expanded in the chimney 1 during the work in the chimney 1 and the balloon 23 is moved together with the gondola 11 to receive falling materials in the chimney 1 at the roof 23a of the upper face of the balloon 23.
