PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer wall material presenting novel appearance and having excellent workability, waterproof function, and heat insulation function. SOLUTION: This outer wall material A comprises a male type connection part 12 and a female type connection part 21. The male type connection part comprises a stepped decorative surface 6 formed by hanging downward the tip of a decorative surface 4, an upper surface 7 projected inward along the stepped decorative surface 6 and the decorative surface 4, a deepest piece 8 formed by projecting downward the tip of the upper surface 7, and an insertion piece 9 formed by projecting the tip of the deepest piece 8 to the water lower side. A roughly U-shaped engagement groove 10 is formed with the upper surface 7, the deepest piece 8, and the insertion piece 9. The female type connection part 21 comprises a fixed piece 15 formed by hanging the tip thereof to the water lower side, a first waterproof piece 13 formed by bending the lower end of the fixed piece 15 upward, an upper surface 14 formed by projecting the tip of the first waterproof piece 13 to the water upper side, an engagement piece 17 formed by bending the tip of the upper surface 14 to the water lower side, a second waterproof piece 18 formed by projecting the tip of the engagement piece 17 to the water lower side, and a projection 19 formed at the tip of the second waterproof piece 18.
