<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit high simultaneous operation performance with small memory constitution by realizing a memory managing method of efficiently securing a memory by referring to contents to be processed and the size of encoded data when a hybrid machine performs image processing. <P>SOLUTION: System constitution which performs image processing such as image compression/expansion, rotation, etc., by bands, reading from and writing to an HDD, and further printing as well needs to hold data of a page in a memory without fail irrelevantly to whether data are encoded data or source data themselves in front of a device which needs to have a time guarantee during, for example, printing and video transfer. Some image path, however, includes some places where page spooling is necessary and memory efficiency is inferior when each memory is large enough for one page.
