<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of always yielding a high-quality images, performing accurate halftone control. <P>SOLUTION: In the halftone control, a continuous gradation pattern comprising the conventional patch and all the data dealing with by the image forming apparatus is formed, and the gradation characteristic of the default of the image forming apparatus is examined from measured data on the pattern, so as to form an LUT. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
