<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette storing case capable of reliably protecting a tape cassette even when a shock is applied to the case when the case is mistakenly dropped or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The tape cassette storing case 10 comprises a storing part 11 having peripheral walls 18, 19, 20 and 21 to store the tape cassette 60, a lid 12 having outer walls 26, 27 and 28 to surround the outer side of the storing part 11 when the lid is closed, a connection plate 13 to hinge-connect the storing part 11 to the lid 12 in an opening/closing manner, an engaging part formed on an outer face of the lid 12, and a side locking part 14 which is hinge-connected to a part of the storing part 11, and locked to the engaging part as it is turned, and further comprises a storing part side bumper part 32 extending outwardly on the outer periphery of the storing part 11, and a lid side bumper part 37 extending outwardly on the outer periphery of the lid 12.
