<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat reclining device obtained by a process reducing thermal strain. <P>SOLUTION: A seat cushion 2 and a seat back 4 are swingably supported via a gear mechanism 6. The one gear of the gear mechanism 6 and a side of the seat cushion 2 and the other gear of the gear mechanism 6 and a side of the seat back 4 are laser-welded. In the laser welding, a loop is formed from a welding start point to a welding finish point and a laser beam is radiated along a welding route 28 not overlapping with the start point and the finish point. The loop welding route 28 forms an approximately C shape. A plurality of positions in the concentric circle are welded with the approximately C-shaped routes 28. The laser welding is conducted by remote laser welding guided along the welding route 28 through the reflection of the laser beam with a long focal point by a mirror. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
