<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel or the like that allows precisely determining a depressed position. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel 21 comprises a pair of resistance films (X-resistance films and Y-resistance) having resistance values with linear characteristics and arranged to overlap each other with a microspace therebetween. An ADC (analog-to-digital converter) 13 samples at a certain timing the voltages applied to the X-resistance film and the Y-resistance film and a CPU 12 stores the voltages in a RAM or the like (not shown) as applied voltages. When the touch panel is pressed, the CPU 12 measures and obtains using a sensor or the like (not shown) the voltage resulting from contact between the X-resistance film and the Y-resistance film.
