PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel for achieving high image quality by inducing stable discharge without selecting a transparent electrode. SOLUTION: The display panel comprises a pair of a first substrate 2 and a second substrate 4 disposed oppositely to each other and partitioned into a display area to display an image and a non-display area not to display the image, partition walls 12 disposed between the first and the second substrates 2, 4 to partition a plurality of discharging cells, phosphors layers 14 formed in the discharging cells, a plurality of address electrodes 8 formed on the first substrate 2, and a plurality of first electrodes 16 and second electrodes 18 which are extended and formed in directions intersecting with the address electrodes 8 to be arranged and spaced from one another on the second substrate 4 and forms discharge gaps G in the discharging cells.
