Various aspects of television commercial storage and retrieval are presented. Television commercials are identified in a transport stream that contains commercial data. The commercials are stored and retrieved from a folder in a PVR-like device. A database of commercial information is build for easy retrieval of the commercials. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.
