Breathable films

A composition for preparing breathable films. The composition comprises a bimodal polyethylene composition, a particulate filler, and, optionally, an olefin-based polymer. The bimodial polyethylene composition has a melt flow rate MFR₂ of 0.1 to 4 g/10 min. and a density of 918 to 935 kg/m³. The olefin-based polymer can be, e.g., polypropylene. The films prepared from the composition have a very high water vapour transmission rate, exceeding 3000 g/m²/24 hours.
