<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer system capable of satisfying demands for microcomputer systems used for ubiquitous computing, or ensuring security as well as reduction in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: This system comprises a processing unit 101 performing system control, a RAM block 103 storing programs and data, a ROM 102 storing fixed programs for system control, an input exclusive port 106 for fetching an application program stored in the RAM block 103, an input and output port 107 for transmitting and receiving data and control signals to and from an external device 110, and a built-in battery 108 for supplying power to at least the processing unit 101, the RAM block 103 and the ROM 102.
