PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of increasing a luminous efficiency while decreasing discharge firing voltage and easily generating an address discharge by generating a sustain discharge as facing discharge. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel includes: first and second substrates arranged oppositely to each other; address electrodes formed along one direction and in parallel with one another on the first substrate; barrier ribs including first barrier rib members arranged in a direction parallel with the address electrodes in a space between the first substrate and the second substrate, and second barrier rib members arranged in a direction crossing the address electrodes for partitioning a plurality of discharge cells; phosphor layers formed in the respective discharge cells; first electrodes formed by corresponding to the second barrier rib members constituting the respective discharge cells between the first substrate and the second substrate and long connected along a direction parallel with them; and second electrodes each formed so as to be arranged between a pair of the first electrodes adjacent to each other and to pierce and pass the internal space of the discharge cell by intersecting the first barrier rib member.
